So over the last couple of days, I've been freaking out about this new dangerous virus called the swine flu. It is a highly contagious disease that affects the respiratory system, and WHO has said that this virus might become a pandemic, WHICH SUCKS.
According to this article, the swine flu has been responsible for 86 deaths in Mexico, and that this virus is spreading to the United States. The high school in New York City, St. Francis Preparatory School, already has 8 confirmed cases of the swine flu, and Texas and California have reported a couple of cases too.
So I'm pretty scared. I'm hoping that this flu will die out and never bother us again, but, considering a LOT of people don't realize what's going on, it might be too late for people to take action. So take action people. Wash hands regularly, and if you have flu-like symptoms, GO SEE A DOCTOR, cause we definitely do not want this virus spreading around our school.
